Untangling Resentment and Fear
A Faithful Look Within
Day 4
“I prayed to the LORD, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears.”
Psalm 34:4
Resentment and fear often grow from the same root — pain that hasn’t been named, processed, or healed. Resentment says, “This shouldn’t have happened.” Fear says, “What if it happens again?”
Both are heavy. Both distort how we see others. Both drain strength from the heart. And both can be surrendered to God.
You don’t have to force forgiveness today. You don’t have to conquer fear in a single moment. But you can begin to untangle the knots by bringing these feelings into God’s gentle presence.
Ask Him to help you see what’s beneath them. Ask Him to loosen their grip. Ask Him to replace them with His peace.
This is the slow work of freedom.
A Prayer for your day
God, untangle the fear and resentment inside me. Loosen their grip and replace them with Your peace. Amen.
Put it in action
Ask yourself:
“Where do I feel resentment?”
“What am I afraid of?”
Bring both honestly to God.

I release my resentment and fear into God’s hands — He is big enough to hold what I cannot.
