Move Your Body, Move Your Mind
Escape the Trap
Day 4
“Flee from sin.” — 1 Corinthians 6:18
Sometimes the holiest thing you can do is get up and move. Temptation loves passivity — quiet rooms, idle hands, long stretches of unstructured time. Your body and mind are connected, and motion can break the grip of a tempting moment.
God built escape into your physical design: Walk the neighborhood. Step outside. Clean something. Do a task. Call a friend and move while you talk.
Movement resets your mind. Movement disrupts temptation’s momentum. Movement is obedience.
Sometimes escaping the trap is as simple as standing up and taking the next step — literally.
Prayer for your day
Lord, when temptation presses in, remind me to move. Help my body lead my heart toward safety.
Put it in action
Schedule one intentional movement moment today — a 5-minute walk, stretching, a simple chore, anything that gets your body moving.
Then identify the time of day when you’re most vulnerable to temptation and plan a movement break for that exact window.
When your body moves, your mind finds its way back to peace.
